Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Night Auditor to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the overnight shift, ensuring accurate financial reporting, balancing daily transactions, and delivering exceptional guest service.

The ideal candidate possesses strong accounting and analytical skills, prior hotel experience, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for guests. Hyatt experience is preferred.

What You'll Do

• Perform nightly audit procedures and reconcile all daily hotel transactions.
• Balance and verify room revenue, food & beverage revenue, credit card transactions, and other guest charges.
• Generate and distribute daily management, accounting, and operational reports.
• Process guest check-ins and check-outs while providing outstanding customer service.
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure cash handling procedures and financial controls are followed accurately.
• Verify rate accuracy, room status, billing, and settlement information.
• Maintain the safety and security of guests, associates, and hotel assets during overnight hours.
• Communicate effectively with department leaders regarding operational issues, guest concerns, and significant events.
• Assist with reservations, guest requests, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Prepare the hotel for the next business day by ensuring all systems and reports are accurate and complete.

What We're Looking For

• Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred.
• Hyatt experience strongly preferred.
• Strong accounting, bookkeeping, and reconciliation skills.
• Experience working with hotel property management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or accounting coursework is a plus.
